Noticed that the Saint's retail prices

have been really rising at the lower end due to the gold doing the same. :bull-buddy-icon:

The controversial thinking on my behalf is that the HIGHER MS64 upward are not following their old ratios. :confused_ma:

What I'm saying is that for investment I would seriously consider great LOOKING AU58s PCGS/NGC in BULK for later trading over MS64s upward at this time. Maybe even over MS63s.

And that is a big change for me. :shocked_ma:

MS-63 and up Saints are useful in a stable economy.

MS-62 and down Saints are useful anytime, including a tanking economy, like now.

MS-63 and up premiums cannot and will not hold when few have money for such luxuries.

:D Yeah I noticed that too...

For long term price stability and steady appreciation across all coin grades nothing is safer than VF/XF and AU grades.

When times get tough and prices go down the crapper these grades lose the least value while the MS grades sink like lead.

Now is a good time to bail while prices are still inflated if you're holding a large inventory of MS grade coins.

I sold every MS grade coin I owned and converted the proceeds to physical silver bars and rounds before the coin market takes another dive.

All I held onto were my key date Morgans...I have a dozen of every key date in the Morgan series in BU and AU grade...the complete Morgan collection doesn't interest me at all.

So far I'm about 300% up over the last 5 years...so my investment has a long, long way to fall to even reach the break even point.

To each his own...buy whatever you think WON'T lose value...that's what always worked best for me.
Short term appreciation ( less than 5 years ) isn't on the radar when I evaluate coins for investment and collector demand.

:rolleyes_m::rolleyes_m::rolleyes_m:

I have TOO many 63s, 64s, 65s, and a few 66s.

I'm not selling any - period.

I bought them ALL in 1999 - 2002. Sent them in to PCGS and they went from MS60s to mostly 63s, 64s, and 65s.

I was just making a suggestion that today - if I was buying BULK - I would look at AU58 to MS62s - PERIOD.

I'm with RiverRat, if your looking for long term price stability, nothing is safer than VF/XF and AU grades

Re: Noticed that the Saint's retail prices

I double checked some of my old silver like i.e. my PCGS boxes of 1881 Morgans in MS64.

I got 'em for $20 or $22 each - AND... they were so "old" I couldn't go Wrong - YEAH! Right!

And you two are ABSOLUTELY right.

They only doubled; while yours tripled!
